  I give Avanti Townsville my highest recommendation. The staff are very accommodating and amazingly helpful. They do not hesitate to give their honest opinion, which is refreshing in the fashion industry. The owner is a true fashion stylist - she has the ability to read the client's tastes and attributes and presents clothing that suits your unique body and style.

  Unfortunately I felt like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty woman, ushered out the door. I already have many of the labels they stock in their shelves in my closet. Maybe I wasn’t dressed appropriately that day for their store but was advised, several times, I would better be suited to their next door shop. I can tell when I’m being subtly asked to leave. The stylist was lovely next door in ‘Play’ but will contact my Sydney stylists to send me clothing rather than visit Avanti again.

  I ordered a dress online from this store. While the dress was on sale, prior to ordering it I made sure to read through their returns policy. Nowhere in the returns policy did it say sale items could not be returned. Unfortunately, the dress did not fit, so I emailed requesting a refund. I was told that according to their returns policy, sale items cannot be refunded. I enquired further as this was not in the returns policy. I was then informed it was elsewhere in fine print. Annoyed and disappointed that this information regarding returns was not in the return policy! $200 wasted. I’ve never encountered a store with such a poor return policy. Very disappointing.

  I recently purchased an outfit at this shop and was convinced it was the PERFECT one-however it did need to be altered. When I got home my daughters certainly didn't think it was the perfect outfit for the upcoming wedding. My intention was to ring and tell the store of my wish to return it n hopefully exchange etc. During this time my mother was in hospital with a heart attack and time lapsed as my outfit was not a priority at this stage. When my daughter did return to Townsville to organise this she was told it would be fine. The lady she spoke to has known n me for many years and was happy to do this for me. However today when she returned it she was met with hostility from the owner and she refused to refund me in any way. She said the 4.5 weeks was too long a time period despite it being still in the original bag with tags on. You can imagine how disappointed I felt. Now I have an expensive outfit that will just sit in my wardrobe. The lack of customer service and understanding has left me unable to recommend this store for future consumers
