  A return visitor to Rambutan, I knew what to expect. The rooftop bar, restaurant and pool are always a highlight. The pool was in need of a clean though - dirt was settled on the bottom and along the full length step. The sun lounges and umbrellas were fantastic! The shower was pretty good with adequate temperature and pressure. The stationery drawers were too shallow to unpack folded clothes into. The air conditioning worked well. Bed was comfy enough for our three-night stay. The room was clean. Daily servicing did not include coffee cups or refills of coffee sachets, milk or toiletries. Definitely not a luxury stay, but suites our purposes. I would likely stay again.

  This place has a very charming vibe to it, all rooms are perfectly located arround the pool and the food is delicious. The staff were super helpful and went over and beyond to help me. Kudos to Bert who made all efforts to make my stay very enjoyable.

  Wonderful experience at this beautiful boutique hotel. Jo at reception was absolutely delightful and gave us some helpful hints for the area and made a special mention of having our room ready earlier as we were returning from the island. Will definitely be staying again next time we travel here.

  Great location in the centre of the city. Clean, tidy and presented well. Reception staff were bubbly and welcoming. The rooms, which are quite small, are located right next to the open air bar and restaurant making it very noisy until things start to quieten down after about 10pm/11pm. If you're wanting an early night this certainly isn't the place for you.

  We had a very enjoyable stay. Hotel is close to everything we needed,and easily accessible from any side of Townsville.
  We had a few meals there, and all were without fault (and we're fussy foodies)
  All in all, we'll be back, without hesitation

  Stopped in for drinks and a snack, excellent spiced mule jugs! Chips and aoili were also great, nice and crisp.
