  Was quoted $7500 for an engine replacement with $2000 labour. When had the money ready to start the job the owner refused me service and told me to remove my car from premises after spending $270 on towing fees I'm now out of pocket and without a car. No choice into leaving my car for 6 weeks over Christmas and he refused to fix my car with no explanation. Do not recommend for single mother's trying to get help. $2000 for labour is 16 to 20 hours work which I was charged at $165 per hour for Labour and 3500 for a recon engine. Sounds doggy to me and my partner agrees this places is ripping mother's off.

  Was suppose to have a reverse
  camera installed and wires cleaned up
  from another business and Russell
  was rude and arrogant. Told me my
  car was 20 years old and that City
  Crash repairs would be in touch. Then
  he had the audacity to tell City Crash
  repairs that he could not do the work
  until November. I don't think so, people
  like you make it hard for other
  businesses, as they think everyone is
  like you, which they are not. Treat
  people with respect and you will
  receive respect back.

  Was very grateful to these lads today for taking a look at my van at 4.45 on a Friday evening after getting turned away from 4 other garages that said they were shutting up. Not only did they take the time to run diagnostics on our van to see could we continue driving north as planned but he would not take any money. We didn't have any cash to throw at him but we appreciated this so so much.

  Good no nonsense mechanics.
  
  The dealership wanted to charge my father in excess of $7000 to "fix" his Renault Megane. The issue that the dealership supposedly diagnosed was completely erroneous.
  
  Diagnostics, labour and replacement parts (all genuine) came in at less than $1500 which was ultimately determined to be a dealership service mechanic's error when the vehicle was last serviced (mechanic was not suitably trained as experienced staff laid off due to Covid at the time).
  
  Cost of vehicle servicing has since dropped significantly.
  
  As a courtesy gesture, (with this particular model of Megane being diesel and uncommon) I purchased a digital copy of the relevant Workshop Service Manual and provided it to them for ease of reference.
  
  Twin Cities Automotive do a lot of work on specialty and uncommon make vehicles along with more common makes.
  
  We were referred to them via word of mouth as are most of their customer base.

  Very honest and reliable service, and cost effective. Russell is very friendly and takes the time to explain anything I don't understand. They always check before extra maintenance is conducted and give an overview of cost.
